Applications Open for the BWY Wilfred Clark Bursary 2024
Embracing Inclusivity in Yoga
The British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) is delighted to open applications for the Wilfred Clark Bursary 2024. The annual award aims to broaden yoga’s reach to people facing physical or perceived barriers to participation, whether due to disability or disadvantage.
The Wilfred Clark Bursary was set up in 1981 to commemorate the legacy of the BWY’s founder. Awarded annually, the bursary supports BWY teachers in pursuing further training to support people with complex needs. A grant of £1000 is divided between two successful applicants.
BWY CEO, Peter Tyldesley, said: “Yoga is renowned for its myriad of wellbeing benefits and should be accessible to more people. The Wilfred Clark Bursary is a great platform to support our mission to cultivate inclusive and accessible yoga communities.”
The bursary is open to all BWY teachers and the deadline for applications is Friday 1 March 2024. The successful applicants will be announced at the BWY Annual General Meeting in May. Application forms are available on our website: https://www.bwy.org.uk/train/bursary/
