BWY Heart of Yoga Awards 2026
Celebrating the Volunteers Who Keep Yoga Thriving Nationwide
The British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) proudly announces the Heart of Yoga Awards 2026, taking place on Friday 5 December, International Volunteers Day. These national awards celebrate BWY volunteers who give their time, energy and skills to bring the benefits of yoga to communities across the UK.
BWY celebrates 61 years in 2026, and volunteers continue to keep the charity thriving and growing. Today, a network of over 100 volunteers stretches from Inverness to Cornwall, organising local yoga events, hosting trainings and leading initiatives that enrich thousands of lives through yoga.
“As we mark over six decades of BWY, it’s the perfect moment to shine a light on the extraordinary people who make our work possible,” says BWY Chair, Diana O’Reilly. “Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do – they’re out sharing yoga’s wellbeing benefits and transforming lives in their communities. The Heart of Yoga Awards gives us the chance to say thank you and to inspire others to recognise the remarkable dedication around them.”
BWY now invites all members to nominate their local heroes for the 2026 Heart of Yoga Awards. You can find full details of the award categories and how to nominate on our Heart of Yoga Awards page, and you can also get inspiration from our 2025 winners here.
The deadline for submitting entries is Friday 27 February 2026. BWY will announce the award winners at the BWY Annual General Meeting on Thursday 7 May 2026.
