Quality & Curriculum Officer (QCO)

A key member of the training team, the post holder will support all quality assurance activities within BWY Training (BWYT), including all internal and external quality assurance activities and reviews, ensuring compliance with the Awarding Organisation, British Wheel of Yoga Qualifications (BWYQ), and all Regulatory requirements.

The post holder will also work on the development of the curriculum that BWYT offers learners, looking to implementing and supporting new courses/training opportunities, and support the development of Training within the organisation, including opportunities for members, teachers and tutors.

They will also assist in implementing robust policies and processes to ensure the effectiveness of all the BWYT Centre’s standards, activities, performance and improvement strategies.

Editor – Spectrum Magazine.

Are you passionate about communication and yoga? Join the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) as the Editor of Spectrum, our flagship magazine, in this flexible, home-based role. 

In this paid position (15 hours per week) you’ll lead the production of Spectrum, published three times a year. From commissioning and editing content to collaborating with leadership on key updates, you’ll shape the magazine’s creative direction and play a vital role in connecting our community.  

What you’ll do: 

  • Plan and produce each issue from concept to publication. 
  • Commission, organise, and edit engaging articles. 
  • Liaise with BWY leaders to feature important projects and initiatives. 
  • Curate a content plan for upcoming issues.

Treasurer
The British Wheel of yoga is looking for a talented finance professional to join its Board of Trustees.
The Treasurer is a key role in the organisation’s governance, being the link between the Board of Trustees and the staff Finance team. You will take  a lead role in developing and monitoring the  delivery of the  Board’s financial strategy  and  helping your fellow Trustees to  fulfil  their financial and fiduciary duties.
The BWY Board is a dynamic and  collegial environment, and  the Trustees are enthusiastic about the BWY’s future as it reinvents its  business model in response to a changing and challenging external environment.
We are looking  for an enthusiastic and experienced finance professional (not necessarily a qualified accountant)  who understands the role and  responsibilities of a charity trustee, although you do not need to have  been  a  trustee before.

BWY is a volunteers-led organisation where our grassroots network of yoga communities come together to create and develop yoga events and training opportunities.

There are a range of opportunities to support at a local level, from donating a few hours of support to help run or host an event, or getting involved with a BWY region/nation’s committee in your area.
